Grid Study

Branding, Content Layout Design, Production & Editing

The Utah County Grid Study is an 11 page document prepared for the Mountainland Association of Governments (MAG). With the fast growing region south of Salt Lake City, the study is designed to explain the benefits of designing communities using a grid system. The purpose of the study is to help influence new developments to follow a  similar grid like system to improve transportation, convenience and safety.

I was in charge of designing the layout of the document to be consistent within the MAG branded guidelines. In addition to setting the type, all 16 infographics were individually designed to help illustrate the important points throughout the grid study document. The real challenge in this project was balancing the juxtapositon of each visual element with the extensive content. Placement had to be exact in order to maintain readability, and flow throughout the document.

In addition to the infographics and design layout of the 11 page document, I also designed the icons used throughout the website.
